Steelers' Roethlisberger to have nose surgery
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have surgery to fix his broken nose. The injury came on the very first offensive series during Pittsburgh's 13-10 win over the Baltimore Ravens, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Roethlisberger will still be able to play in his next game against the Cincinnati Bengals. "Someone just came through and a hand got through my facemask," Roethlisberger said. "The next thing you know, I feel blood running down my face." In trying to stop the blood, his jersey was covered in blood. Roethlisberger also played the game with a broken bone in his foot, an injury he entered the game with.
Fantasy Analysis:
Roethlisberger has been toughing through some tough injuries but it goes without saying that the Steelers need him out on the field. He's passed for at least 246 yards in each of his last four games. In that same span, he has eight touchdown passes and two interceptions. Roethlisberger is a borderline in most standard leagues but this next game against Cincinnati is a bit challenging. The Bengals have allowed the ninth fewest fantasy points to QBs in the last five weeks and the ninth most fantasy points to RBs over that same span. Presumably, the Steelers will use the pass to only compliment a strong rushing attack this week, making Roethlisberger decent, but not great starting option.
