Colts' injury report: Reggie Wayne questionable; Joseph Addai doubtful
Another week, another Indianapolis Colts injury report crowded with fantasy-relevant players. At the top of that list is wide receiver Reggie Wayne
. He wasn't on the practice report Thursday, but missed practice Friday and is listed as questionable to play Sunday against the Cowboys. Wayne has been bothered by a knee injury for a while, but has yet to miss a game.
Running back Joseph Addai is doubtful as he continues to recover from nerve damage in his shoulder. Colts president Bill Polian said earlier this week that he didn't expect Addai to be back this Sunday; that assessment is holding true. However, Mike Hart
was able to complete a couple of full practices earlier this week. He didn't practice Friday, but that's a common Colts trick as they are likely just giving him a rest. Expect him and Donald Brown
to split carries this week.
It seems that wide receiver Austin Collie
isn't completely over his concussion symptoms yet. He went through some limited work during practice, but was a no-show Friday. According to Phillip B. Wilson of the Indianapolis Star, "That all but assures Collie isn't playing Sunday." Collie is listed as questionable.
Fantasy Analysis:
Wayne will play and I don't think you can bench him unless you have three other top-5 WRs on your roster. The matchups don't get much sweeter than Dallas' secondary. Wayne was relatively average in November, but I think he opens December with a huge outing. Hart is another "questionable" Colt, but his return this week is basically probable. That mucks up Indy's backfield for fantasy purposes. Hart and Brown are each risky flex plays this week because of each player's uncertain workload and playing time. Blair White is doing a great Collie imitation. It's hard to ignore the looks he's been getting near the goal line in the past two games. Collie is a true game-time decision and since this is a late Sunday afternoon game, you're better served keeping him on your bench. Since I agree with the thinking that Collie will be out again, White makes for a suitable WR3 in 12-teamers.
