Texans' Owen Daniels out for another week

For those of you who invested in Joel Dreessen this week, there's good news. Houston Texans tight end Owen Daniels @owendaniels will not play in Sunday's game versus Tennessee. It will be his fourth consecutive missed game as he is still being bothered by a hamstring injury. "We're hoping there's a chance for next week," head coach Gary Kubiak said Friday about Daniels' playing status. Thus, Dreessen will get the start for Houston. He is coming off a 106-yard game with a touchdown last week against the New York Jets. It's been a tough 13 months for Daniels. He tore an ACL on Nov. 1 during a breakout 2009 season. His recovery went slowly, leading to some underwhelming outputs early this season. Then the hamstring stopped Daniels just as he was starting to round back into form.

Fantasy Analysis:

The love for Dreessen this week is getting a bit carried away -- some other fantasy football sites have him ranked as a top-7 tight end despite only a couple of good games -- but there's no denying that he's facing a good matchup. Anthony Fasano and Chris Cooley recorded very nice stats against the Titans in the past two weeks. The tight end position this year has turned into a couple of consistent options mixed in with a whole lot of shots in the dark. Dreessen falls into that latter group, but he's a decent shot for week 12.
