Colts' Wayne and Chargers' Gates questionable on Sunday night

San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates @AntonioGates85 and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne @Reggie_Wayne87 are both listed as questionable for their Sunday night game. Gates practiced for only the second time in six weeks and has missed the last two games while recovering from a foot injury. "It didn't' get worse," coach Norv Turner told the San Diego Union Tribune. "He went through the walk-through. It doesn't help him to go two days in a row, so we'll see where he's at Sunday." Gates' teammates Malcom Floyd (hamstring) is questionable and Patrick Crayton (wrist) is out. Wayne is questionable due to a knee injury and did not practice on Thursday. He practiced Friday.

Fantasy Analysis:

This game means a lot for both teams as neither team is a lock for the playoffs. While the AFC East and North are pretty cut and dry on who is a contender and a pretender, the South and West are still rather clumped together. The Colts and Chargers both need to win the division as it is very unlikely a wildcard spot will come from either division. The Chargers are one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs and the Colts are currently tied for first with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wayne rarely misses games but last season, he played late into the season with nagging injuries and didn't play very well at all. Gates hasn't played in weeks now and many owners are still waiting patiently for his return. He's too good to trade and almost too good to bench. In this case, Wayne is still a must-start as he hasn't missed a game yet. Gates on the other hand should probably ride the pine unless an update comes out stating clearly that he will play.
