Dolphins' Brandon Marshall is doubtful vs. Raiders
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is listed as doubtful due to a hamstring injury. Marshall missed practice on Friday and will probably not travel with the team to Oakland for their game. He is currently the team's leading receiver with 58 receptions and 693 receiving yards. Marshall hasn't practiced all week since he flared up the injury since Miami's embarrassing shutout loss to the Chicago Bears last week. The Dolphina may also be without quarterback Chad Henne who is still recovering from a knee injury. Last week, quarterback Tyler Thigpen made the start and played very poorly.
Fantasy Analysis:
Miami is in trouble and the slim chances they had to sneak into the playoffs are even slimmer. The Dolphins are currently 5-5 and were really only mathematically in contention for a playoff spot. Their division, the AFC East, likely has two playoff bound teams in the New York Jets and New England Patriots. Unfortunately for Marshall, he'd probably prefer to at least go down swinging but with a hamstring injury, it doesn't take much to reaggrevate it. Marshall has had three consecutive seasons with 100+ receptions and 1,000+ yards but that streak looks to be coming to an end. Wide receiver Davone Bess
will likely see a big increase in his targets but without a decent option at quarterback, it may not matter who lines up out wide.
