Reggie Bush, Felix Jones questionable for Saints-Cowboys on Thanksgiving

When the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys meet Thursday -- while we all eat Thursday -- the playing status of each team's small, speedy, pass-catching running back won't be known until an hour or so before kickoff. Both Reggie Bush @ReggieBush and Felix Jones @felixjones28 are listed as questionable on the injury report. Bush is nearing a return from his broken leg, which he suffered in week two. He tried to play last week but was ruled out after pregame warmups. He was limited during Wednesday's practice and it seems like he is on the same track as last week -- a true game-time decision. Jones is being bothered by a hip injury that he suffered in week 11. He practiced for the first time this week on Wednesday, but not fully. Interim head coach Jason Garrett said earlier this week that Jones is "day to day."

Fantasy Analysis:

Pierre Thomas and Ladell Betts have already been ruled out of the Thanksgiving game, so if Bush can't go, it would be quite a stage for Chris Ivory @ivory33. If Bush does play, I think you'll want to avoid the Saints' backfield all together since I think Bush, Ivory and Julius Jones will all see a fair amount of field time. I'm more pessimistic about Jones than Reggie. It's good to hear that Jones was back on the practice field today, but I think this is an injury that he could easily aggravate or could keep him out completely. If he can't go, Marion Barber @24marionbarber would start and Tashard Choice @tchoice23 would see more snaps. Both are not good starts as the Cowboys have attempted the second-fewest rushes of any team this season.
