Giants' Ahmad Bradshaw will not start Sunday
Ahmad Bradshaw
's punishment for being too loose with the football has been handed down. The penalty: A seat on the bench while Brandon Jacobs
starts Sunday's game versus Jacksonville. Head coach Tom Coughlin announced the change Wednesday. It will be Jacobs' first start since week 16 of the 2009 season. Bradshaw has fumbled three times in the past four weeks, losing two of them. He has five fumbles lost on the season, which leads the league for running backs.
Coughlin didn't say exactly how much playing time Bradshaw will miss, but did say that he plans to use all three of the team's running backs -- Bradshaw, Jacobs and Danny Ware -- against the Jaguars.
Fantasy Analysis:
Don't panic, Bradshaw owners. Your boy will probably still handle the ball 15-20 times and that should be enough for him to produce a fine fantasy line against the Jags' weak defense. And you know motivation shouldn't be a problem. But you should also know that there is always some risk with a running back who's not starting. Specifically, we don't know when he'll get into the game. The Giants have been mum on that front. But more than likely, Bradshaw will just sit out the first few snaps and then take on his regular role. He's a low-end RB1 for week 12.
