Chargers' Patrick Crayton dislocates wrist
During their blowout win against the Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers wide receiver Patrick Crayton
dislocated his wrist. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Crayton will undergo an MRI today to determine whether he will be able to play again this year. San Diego has had injuries and issues at the position all year. Luckily, wide receiver Vincent Jackson will make his season debut this Sunday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Tight end Antonio Gates' status is still unknown but he has said he plans to play. Backup receiver Legedu Naanee is also still injured and may not play. Malcom Floyd returned from injury last night.
Fantasy Analysis:
Well, next week it's going to be Vincent Jackson and Malcom Floyd starting at wide receiver for the Chargers. That was supposed to be the starting lineup to open the season, but things obviously didn't pan out that way. Crayton has had a decent few weeks getting some extra playing time with all the injuries. But with him out, it's definitely time to stop observing Seyi Ajirotutu and take him as a flier on your fantasy roster if you need depth at WR. San Diego wideouts are producing every week with Philip Rivers having a career year. Vincent Jackson is still the best receiver on the team but there's no telling how effective he will be returning from all this time off.
