Dolphins' Marshall injures hamstring again
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall
has left tonight's Thursday Night Football game against the Chicago Bears after reinjuring his right hamstring. Marshall was listed as questionable entering tonight's game due to the same injury. While running after a catch, Marshall went down in pain and clutching his leg. Afterward he was treated by medical staff and limped gingerly off the field. Marshall hasn't played up to his high expectations entering the season, although he does lead Miami with 55 receptions for 652 yards. He has been limited to only one touchdown all season through nine games.
Fantasy Analysis:
Marshall has been a big letdown this season. His former team, the Denver Broncos are enjoying tremendous success in the passing game, Marshall has quietly had his most underwhelming season since his rookie year. After three straight seasons with 100+ receptions,1100+ receiving yards and 6+ touchdowns, Marshall has become a WR3/flex option for most teams. In any case, this makes the decision to sit Marshall next week much easier. Add to the fact that Miami is having trouble establishing a quarterback between Chad Henne, Chad Pennington and Tyler Thigpen and Marshall is more of a liability than an asset.
