Bengals' Carson Palmer returns to practice and will play
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer had missed practices this week, but returned to the practice field on Friday and is expected to start this Sunday. Palmer had been struggling with issues to his throwing shoulder but practiced fully on Friday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Palmer and the Bengals face the Indianapolis Colts this week. When asked about his injured shoulder, Palmer said, "Not worried at all. We played a late Monday game; it's just an extra day of recovery making sure (the shoulder is) ready for Sunday." Palmer sat out practice on Wednesday and Thursday after injuring his shoulder against the Pittsburgh Steelers in a 27-21 loss.
Fantasy Analysis:
Palmer has had a quality 2010 season. He's currently amongst the top 10 of all fantasy quarterbacks in terms of points scored. He and Terrell Owens have had a lot of success in a year it was expected that Cincinnati would be more of a rush-first team. Palmer has a good, but not great matchup against the Colts this week. Indianapolis has allowed at least one passing touchdown every week except one. But they haven't allowed more than two in any given week. So Palmer should have a solid day, but expectations shouldn't be too high. Chad Ochocinco also returned to practice on Friday so there are no depth issues on offense to worry about.
