Patriots' Tom Brady returns to practice Thursday

Rest easy, Patriots fans. Brian Hoyer will not be leading your team into very hostile territory Sunday night in Pittsburgh. Quarterback Tom Brady practiced Thursday, one day after a mild foot sprain forced him to miss the workout and caused quite a stir among the media. Even with the injury, reporters said yesterday that Brady wasn't limping noticeably. Brady avoided those reporters and their inevitable injury questions after Thursday's practice. He'll most likely be listed as probable on the team's official injury report later this week. The only question is if he'll be listed with a foot injury or his same old shoulder "injury."

Fantasy Analysis:

Forget the foot, the bigger concerns to Brady's fantasy owners are his declining production and Pittsburgh Steelers' defense. Brady's fallen production since Randy Moss left town has been heavily documented. He threw nine touchdown passes in four games with Moss this year; he has just five in four games without him. The Steelers have allowed just two passing scores in three home games this season. Add all of the circumstances together and I think Brady is outside of the top 10 at his position this week. And that doesn't include any thoughts about an injury.
