Vikings' Favre misses Wednesday practice to rest foot

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre missed Wednesday's practice in order to rest his injured foot. When asked whether missing last Wednesday's practice helped him feel more energized last Sunday in their overtime win Favre said, "That was the hope. I felt like going in, the few days that I did practice, my arm felt a little more alive. I had a little more pep in my step," Favre said, before beginning to back off a bit. "I don't know. I kind of felt that same I did the previous week." Favre went on to say that he felt fatigued during the Vikings comeback win against the Arizona Cardinals last Sunday. Favre's left foot has two fractures in it. "It's OK. Of course, after a game it always feels worse. It's still swollen, but at least I'm able to function enough on it that Monday and Tuesday and maybe Wednesday I try to stay off of it as much as possible," Favre said. "Get it back to where it feels tolerable. I'm surprised with a broken foot that it doesn't feel as bad as it probably should."

Fantasy Analysis:

At the age of 41, most parts of Brett Favre are probably pretty sore after games. But with a fractured foot, he's toughing it out and skipping as much practice as possible. Whatever works for him is probably for the best. Last week's victory was just the second win out of the last five games for the Vikings. Week 10 presents a road game against the Chicago Bears. The Bears boast the league's eighth best defense, but 14th-worst pass defense in terms of yardage. They don't give up many big plays in their Tampa-2 styled defense and have allowed the league's fewest touchdown passes (5). All things considered, Favre should be on your bench unless you're down to no other options.
