Your Carolina Panthers: Jimmy Clausen, Mike Goodson to start in week 10

Things aren't going well for the Carolina Panthers this season. Their once-feared running game has been bogged down by injuries and poor play. Their No. 1 quarterback is out for the season. The other QBs can't form a connection with their top receiver and all of them are being led by a likely lame-duck head coach. A turnaround isn't coming and it may only get worse this week. John Fox said Wednesday that Jimmy Clausen @JimmyClausen and Mike Goodson @GoodNplenty33 will be his starters this Sunday at quarterback and running back, respectively. Clausen got the nod over Tony Pike and will start his fourth game this season. So far, Clausen's rookie campaign has been one to forget. He has just one touchdown and six turnovers to his credit. The news on Goodson shows that DeAngelo Williams @DeAngeloRB, Jonathan Stewart @Jonathanstewar1 and Tyrell Sutton are still struggling with injuries and won't be ready for the Tampa Bay game. Goodson gained 29 yards on nine carries last week. He added three receptions for 18 yards.

Fantasy Analysis:

The worst part is that Clausen can't get the ball to Steve Smith @89SteveSmith, the only healthy fantasy commodity for the Panthers. In Clausen's first three games as the starter, Smith recorded eight total catches for just 99 yards and one TD. I'll say it again: Pick up and place the Bucs' defense in your lineup for week 10.
