Trio of Cowboys slated to return this week

Three Dallas Cowboys starters will return this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Cornerback Terence Newman (ribs), linebacker Bradie James (knee) and tackle Marc Colombo (back) all participated in a full practice on Friday after sitting out practices all week. The Cowboys have been decimated by injuries this season to go along with their struggles in the wins department. Defensive end Jason Hatcher (groin), guard Montrae Holland (groin) and safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah (ankle) are out for the game. Guard Kyle Kosier (ankle) and running back Felix Jones (ankle) are both listed as probable. Adding to the injury melodrama is the future of head coach Wade Phillips. When asked whether Phillips would keep his job this season on KRLD-FM, owner Jerry Jones restated his position on the matter by simply stating, "Yes."

Fantasy Analysis:

This is fantasy relevant simply because as a team, the Cowboys are in bad shape from top to bottom and this affects everyone involved. Quarterback Tony Romo is already out for most of remaining games this season. Guys from all over the field on both sides of the ball are dinged up, coming back from injury and this incontinuity doesn't help matters. Right now, there is really only two or three reliable fantasy players on the Dallas roster and that's wide receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant, as well as tight end Jason Witten. And with Jon Kitna now the starter at quarterback, they all get small downgrades in their fantasy value.
