Derek Anderson to start for Cardinals once again

There's an adage in the NFL that if a team has two starting quarterbacks, it really doesn't have any. That couldn't be more true for the Arizona Cardinals, who are turning back to Derek Anderson @DAnderson314 for Sunday's game at Minnesota. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt announced the move Wednesday. Anderson was benched in week four against the Chargers and lost his starting job before week five's game versus New Orleans. But as Max Hall has also struggled mightily, Anderson has been brought on in relief in each of the past two weeks. Whisenhunt said the raucous environment in the Metrodome played a factor in his decision.

Fantasy Analysis:

Anderson gives the Cardinals' offense more of a chance, but he is still a turnover machine and is probably a source of good news for owners who have picked up the Vikings' defense this week. Anderson has thrown four interceptions and just one TD on the road this season. Yet, Anderson provides a bit more hope for Larry Fitzgerald @LarryFitzgerald than Max Hall did. And that's the most important part of this note. Three of Fitz's four scores this year have come from Anderson. He also provided Steve Breaston @SBreaston15 with enough opportunities to turn in a 100-yard day in week eight. It's not a true upgrade, but owners of those two WRs are probably somewhat happier that Anderson is back ... for now.
