Ankle injury won't stop Texans' Andre Johnson
Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson
re-aggravated his near season-long ankle injury Monday night. Actually, he did it twice: Once during his touchdown catch in the third quarter and once during the Texans' final drive of the night. But Johnson returned to action after both tweaks and he'll keep suiting up with it. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reported Tuesday that Johnson should be able to play against the San Diego Chargers this Sunday.
Johnson originally injured the ankle in week two versus the Redskins and it forced him to miss week four's game at Oakland. But he has played in Houston's previous three games and has averaged 113 receiving yards per over that period. Through the pain, he caught seven passes for 106 yards and a score against the Colts.
Fantasy Analysis:
And thus, you keep Johnson in your lineup. Matt Schaub hasn't been putting up outstanding numbers of late, but it hasn't really affected AJ. He's just an absolute stud. I guess the only bad news for his owners is that this ankle ailment probably isn't going away until the season ends. But Johnson will just continue to play on it, aggravate it, likely miss a few snaps and then get back onto the field and keep on embarrassing defenses.
