Eagles' DeSean Jackson says he's a game-time decision for week 9
If the Philadelphia Eagles had to play today, wide receiver DeSean Jackson
would be unavailable. He still hasn't seen an independent neurologist, which he must if he wants to play in week nine. But Jackson and the Eagles expect that event to take place soon. And Jackson, who said he was "a little bit limited" during Monday's practice, said he expects to be a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup versus Indianapolis. Jackson has been recovering from a scary collision with Falcons cornerback Dunta Robinson on Oct. 17 that left the third-year wideout with a severe concussion. He was left headaches, soreness and memory loss. He passed the Eagles' baseline tests last week.
Fantasy Analysis:
We'll have more on Jackson's availability as the week continues. But again, he won't play if he doesn't go through with that appointment with the independent neurologist. Jackson has caught just six passes for 77 yards in his past three games, although part of it can be blamed on the concussion. But if Jackson can play, and with Michael Vick declaring himself 100 percent, I would bump D-Jax up in my rankings -- if I had weekly rankings. In two full games with Vick earlier this season, Jackson racked up 288 receiving yards and scored a touchdown in each.
