Titans' Vince Young might play in week 10; Kenny Britt's season NOT over
The Tennessee Titans have received just about the best news possible regarding the injury status of quarterback Vince Young
and wide receiver Kenny Britt
. Head coach Jeff Fisher said Monday that Young will rest his injured left ankle this week, the team's bye, but there's a chance he'll practice prior to week 10's game versus Miami. If he can practice, he will likely play.
Meanwhile, Fisher said earlier on Monday he was "hopeful" that Britt's season wouldn't be ended due to the right hamstring injury he sustained Sunday. The "good news" is it won't be.
"He may miss some time," Fisher said of Britt. "We're going to treat him very aggressively, and we'll have more information after we return from the off weekend. If it was a season-ending injury I would tell you right now it is season-ending. No, it is not."
Britt underwent an MRI Monday, but official results have not been made public.
Fantasy Analysis:
Young re-injured his ankle against the Chargers and left the stadium in a boot. It's the same ankle that forced him to miss week eight's win over Philadelphia. Kerry Collins would once again step in if Vince can't play after the Titans' bye. Britt is still expected to miss a number of weeks. If you can afford to keep him on your bench, do so. He may come in handy for the fantasy playoffs. Nate Washington seems to be the main beneficiary of Britt's bad strain and is worth a shot for those of you who are in a bind due to bye weeks or injuries.
