Titans hoping that Kenny Britt's season isn't over

Kenny Britt @KennyBritt_18's arrival to the main stage of fantasy football receivers may have ended as quickly as it began. One week after a 225-yard, three-touchdown game, Britt injured his right hamstring Sunday. Results of an MRI haven't been made public yet, but the attitude about Britt's future doesn't sound good. Head coach Jeff Fisher said Sunday he expects the Rutgers product to be out for "an extended period of time." He said Monday he's "hopeful" Britt's season isn't over. Britt was hurt during the first quarter of the loss to San Diego. He was going out for a deep pass and said he heard a pop in his hamstring. The Titans are on a bye in week nine, but they would consider themselves extremely fortunate if Britt can return by week 10.

Fantasy Analysis:

As a Britt owner, this is terrible news. Hamstring injuries this severe could keep him out for the rest of the season if it is indeed torn. We should find out soon. Keep him on your bench until then. This news brings down the value of the entire Titans' offense. Britt was the clear No. 1 WR on that team. There isn't anyone on the roster who matches his talent. Nate Washington had a big day -- 117 yards and a score -- with Britt out, so he's worth a look, but don't expect much. Obviously, Chris Johnson is still an elite play, but Britt's presence certainly gave defenses something else to consider. Somewhere, Vince Young is sulking.
