Vikings' waive Randy Moss
After just four games with the organization, the Minnesota Vikings have waived wide receiver Randy Moss
after trading away a third-round pick to the New England Patriots for his services. Moss' release was first reported by the NFL Network earlier this afternoon. Moss will be on waivers for the next 24 hours, where he can be picked up by any team. During a press conference after the Vikings loss to the Patriots, Moss said that he'd no longer answer questions from the media. Moss was also unsure as to why the Vikings didn't listen to his advice in regards to the Patriots' scheme and play-calling.
Fantasy Analysis:
Moss' press conference is going to catch a lot of heat now that he's out of Minnesota, but it was mostly innocuous. He talked about how he missed some of the Patriots' players and hadn't had a chance to talk to a few of them. While he was clearly frustrated and reflecting back on his career in New England, he prefaced his whole statement by saying he meant no disrespect to the Minnesota Vikings organization. In any case, what's done is done and Moss is now on waivers. He'll most definitely be picked up by somebody and fantasy owners just have to hope things work out. As for Moss, maybe just answer the questions next time.
