Vikings' Percy Harvin injures ankle
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Percy Harvin
suffered an ankle injury in the first quarter of Minnesota's game against the New England Patriots. Harvin had to be assisted off the field. The Vikings' medical staff taped up Harvin's ankle and he played through the pain. "It's hurting pretty bad and it probably was adrenaline that got me through," he told the newspaper. "I couldn't do much but I was able to fight through it. Go and see the trainer's and we'll know then." Harvin finished the game with six catches for 104 yards. He will undergo further testing today to diagnose the injury.
Fantasy Analysis:
Harvin is an injury-prone player. He was while he was at the University of Florida and those issues have followed him to the Vikings. There's no doubting his talent and playmaking ability with the football, but this is one of those issues fantasy owners will have to accept about Harvin. With Minnesota being in such disarray offensively, Harvin has been relied on heavily in recent weeks. He opens up the offense and owners have to just take the good with the bad. He's producing far too well, especially in PPR leagues. He's good trade bait though, as fans love to watch him, maybe it's time to put him on the market.
