UPDATE: Eagles' DeSean Jackson passes post-concussion tests

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid has already named Michael Vick @MikeVick as his starting quarterback for week nine. Will he also have his best wide receiver back from injury as well? It's leaning toward yes as DeSean Jackson @DeseanJackson10 passed his post-concussion tests Monday. Even before the test results were in, Reid said Jackson has "a pretty good chance of being ready" for the Eagles' next game, Nov. 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. Vick also spoke somewhat positively about Jackson's status for next week. "You see him walking around, he looks like he's making a great recovery," Vick told The Philadelphia Daily News. He's optimistic that he'll play. We just have to play it by ear." Update: Profootballtalk.com is reporting that despite Reid's confidence, Jackson's availability in week nine remains "very much up in the air" and Jackson is still "very sore."

Fantasy Analysis:

Jackson isn't out of the woods yet, although this is a step in the right direction. Jackson's tests are done, but he still needs to show that he can practice without incident. We'll have to wait until next week to find an answer there. To show that passed tests don't directly mean a return for Jackson, the Inquirer wrote about how Eagles WR Riley Cooper passed his concussion tests earlier this month, but he still missed the next two games because of the NFL's protocol on dealing with concussions. Don't expect Jackson to come back just yet.
