Titans' Vince Young, Bo Scaife out of practice; Kenny Britt may be benched

There's no doubt Kenny Britt @KennyBritt_18 missed Vince Young @VinceYoung after he left with knee and ankle sprains during the first quarter of Monday's win over Jacksonville. Young's absence meant no catches for Britt, but more work for Bo Scaife. And now the Titans might need to hatch a game plan to win Sunday in Philadelphia without any of those players. Young and Scaife sat out Friday's practice and both are listed as questionable to play. Young will almost certainly be a game-time decision, but the feeling from beat reporters around the Titans is that he will miss this game against the Eagles. Kerry Collins would start in his place and told media members today that he's "ready to go." "I've had a good week of practice and I'm entirely comfortable with what we're doing game-plan wise," Collins said. Britt was also out of practice today, but not because of an injury; it was due to a coach's decision after Britt was involved in a fight at a Nashville bar early Friday morning. When asked how this would impact Britt's status for Sunday's game, head coach Jeff Fisher didn't rule out the possibility that Britt would be held out of the game as punishment, but he is still collecting the facts. "My understanding at this point is that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time," Fisher said of Britt. "There was an altercation, but he was one of those that was trying to break it up. That's my understanding right now, and I'm still gathering facts."

Fantasy Analysis:

Young said Thursday he thinks he could play without practicing all week, but the signs aren't very positive right now. Again, he'll be a game-time decision. But prepare to be without him. Scaife is battling a groin injury. He could probably play and the matchup is favorable, but he will likely be at less than 100 percent. Hopefully you have a better TE on your roster or available in your league. The Britt situation, much like Young, will be one to monitor Sunday morning. He has been a touchdown machine in the past five weeks, but he certainly doesn't need to get on Fisher's bad side, especially since Justin Gage is expected to play after missing a couple of games due to a hamstring injury. Plus, we know Collins does nothing to help Britt's value, so even if Britt is active, you may still need to choose a different No. 3 WR or flex option this week if Young can't go. The Titans' top wide receivers would be Gage, Nate Washington and Damian Williams. You shouldn't want anything to do with them this week.
