Titans' Vince Young suffers knee injury

Halfway through the first quarter of the Tennessee Titans' Monday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, quarterback Vince Young @VinceYoung suffered a knee injury which sidelined him for the rest of the game. On a fumbled snap, Young's knee was bent backwards awkwardly. Young limped off the field under his own power and was listed as questionable to return to the game, although he did not. His injury is listed to be a sprain although Young will undoubtedly undergo further tests during the week. Quarterback Kerry Collins filled in and led the Titans to a 30-3 victory.

Fantasy Analysis:

As has been proven over the years, the Titans can win with Young or Collins as quarterback, although Young is the starter for a reason now. Collins filled in admirably, but the Jaguars are awful this season. In either case, there is no quarterback controversy here but it is possible that the Titans give Young an extra week to heal. If that is the case, Tennessee goes on the road to Philadelphia, which wouldn't be too tough a matchup for Collins. Young was 3 for 5 for 61 yards and a touchdown before he left the game so it's safe to assume he would've done just as well as Collins had he stayed in the game. If you're desperate for a bye week replacement, keep an eye on Collins and for Young owners, there's little cause for alarm.
