As expected, Patriots' Fred Taylor has been ruled out

The game-day status of New England Patriots running back Fred Taylor is one of the easiest calls this week among injured fantasy-relevant players. Taylor missed his fourth consecutive day of practice Friday and has been officially ruled out of Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens. It will be Taylor's second consecutive missed game as he continues to heal from a toe injury. Taylor has not practiced since before the Patriots' week-three win against the Buffalo Bills. He has run just 25 times in three games for 98 yards this season. He will be replaced once again in the Patriots' backfield by the combination of BenJarvus Green-Ellis @TheLawFirmBJGE, Sammy Morris, Danny Woodhead @danny__woodhead and possibly Thomas Clayton. Green-Ellis started in week four against Miami, rushing 16 times for 76 yards and a touchdown.

Fantasy Analysis:

BJG-E is going to get between 15-20 touches and while the Ravens' defense strikes fear in some fantasy owners through name value, the matchup isn't too daunting. Peyton Hillis ran over them in week three and Rashard Mendenhall scored twice against Baltimore in week four. And even though nose tackle Haloti Ngata plans to play, he has a sprained MCL and will not be at full strength. That will make the going a litter easier for Green-Ellis. He is a decent flex option in 12-team leagues.
