Packers' Clay Matthews listed as doubtful
Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews
is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Dolphins. Matthews is currently leads the league with 8.5 sacks. During the third quarter of Green Bay's game against the Washington Redskins, Matthews came out of the game with a hamstring injury. In that game, Washington had punted on seven of eight possessions prior to his injury. After he left the game, the Skins drove into Green Bay territory six out of seven times and scored 13 unanswered points. Injuries on the defensive side have added up with Nick Barnett likely out for the season, defensive tackle Mark Tauscher listed as doubtful and defensive end Ryan Pickett listed as questionable.
Fantasy Analysis:
Green Bay is one of the few teams in the NFL that came into the season with nice balance of run and pass on offense and enough talent to cover the run and pass on defense. Then Ryan Grant went done for the season and they lost their running game. Barnett is out for the season, tight end Jermichael Finley is likely done for the season and injuries all over their units are really wearing down on them. Green Bay is fortunate to be 3-2 thus far and still in the hunt for the NFC North division. They need to avenge their loss to Chicago in which should be a great game in Week 17. For now, they've got Miami this week and the Dolphins are on a two game losing streak. Green Bay has a good shot to take them down but their defense needs to pick it up with the loss of a few key players.
