Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin day to day with hamstring injury

Maybe it's just me, but any NFL player with a hamstring injury seems destined to miss at least one game, no matter the severity. Those things just don't heal quickly. But on Monday, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid tried to sound as optimistic as possible with wide receiver Jeremy Maclin @jmac_18, who came down with a hamstring injury of his own during Sunday's loss to the New York Giants. He said Maclin is considered "day to day" and the ailment isn't considered to be significant.

Fantasy Analysis:

I'm not a Maclin owner, but I would make plans to be without him this week. I hate to use the word "linger" again, but it perfectly fits what hamstring injuries do. In his vacancy, Jason Avant and Steve Smith @SteveSmithWR would stand to see more playing time and more targets against a 49ers defense that is below average against the pass. Of course, having someone other than Michael Vick behind center would have a negative effect on all Eagles wideouts.
