Cardinals' RB Beanie Wells says he'll play; coach says game-time decision
You would think that if Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells was OK after being limited on Thursday because of what was reported as a hamstring issue, head coach Ken Whisenhunt would just say so. But on Friday, he didn't. He left plenty of room for uncertainty, calling Wells a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Wells was limited again in practice Friday, but he's been telling anyone who will listen that's he's good to go, that the hamstring injury is nothing major.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Cardinals-Seahawks is a late kickoff, so go out and get your cover for Wells now just in case he doesn't play. Chester Taylor is expected to see most of the carries if Wells is inactive, but he hasn't run well since about 2009. He's not a good play. Plus, the Seahawks have done a pretty good job through two weeks against better, more established runners such as Frank Gore and Rashard Mendenhall. So even if Wells does play Sunday afternoon, temper your expectations. Your window to sell high on Beanie is closing fast.
