Giants WR Domenik Hixon out for season with torn ACL

Another major injury to a New York Giant? Sure, why not? The latest Giant to fall is wide receiver Domenik Hixon @domenik_hixon. He left Monday night's game after catching a touchdown pass with what the team initially called a calf strain. If only that was true. It was announced Wednesday that Hixon has torn his right ACL for the second consecutive year.
"Do I know what to expect? Yeah, but you know it's going to be a tough road and a long road," Hixon told reporters. "I'm willing to put in the work. We've got great trainers and doctors here, so it's just starting all over again."
Hixon tore his ACL last year during mini-camp.

Fantasy Analysis:

Hixon was supposed to be the guy who could replace Steve Smith as the Giants' No. 3 WR. With him gone, Victor Cruz @TeamVic will see more playing time. He has not been impressive in limited duty this season and isn't worth an add right now. Hixon wasn't a savior, but this is just another case of Eli Manning running out of weapons. With Mario Manningham concussed, you shouldn't start Eli this week against the Eagles, and I would try to trade him while his value is still relatively high.
