Report: Cowboys WR Miles Austin could be out through week 5
According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the Dallas Cowboys are worried that wide receiver Miles Austin
might not play until after the team's week-five bye. During the fourth quarter of yesterday's win over San Francisco, Austin re-injured the hamstring that bothered him during the preseason. He didn't play in the overtime period and will be re-evaluated probably today.
Fantasy Analysis:
Well, at least Austin got hurt after providing his fantasy owners with a monster stat line: nine catches, 143 yards, three touchdowns. As we've seen so very often, hamstring injuries are deliciate matters. It's easy to re-aggravate them and that's apparently what happened to Austin yesterday. If he has to miss next Monday's game versus Washington, expect Kevin Ogletree
and Jesse Holley
to see more targets. Of course, Dez Bryant has a quad injury that kept him out of yesterday's game, but I think he'll play in week 3.
