Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez likely out for week 3
Through two weeks, New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez
has the second-most fantasy points of any player at his position in standard leagues, trailing only teammate Rob Gronkowski
. But Hernandez will probably lose some ground next week since he is not expected to play in week three due to a sprained MCL. So says the Boston Globe's Shalise Manza Young, who also reports that Hernandez will be out for 1-2 weeks. Hernandez injured his knee in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game versus the San Diego Chargers.
Fantasy Analysis:
This won't interrupt the Patriots' flow; that offense will keep rolling along. All this means is more targets for Gronkowski and maybe someone such as Danny Woodhead and Chad Ochocinco. There are still a bevy of weapons in this offense, and Tom Brady will continue his early season record pace next week.
