Rams QB Sam Bradford feels good in Wednesday's practice
The St. Louis Rams will be without wide receiver Danny Amendola and probably running back Steven Jackson, but it sounds like quarterback Sam Bradford will be good to go Monday night versus the New York Giants. He practiced on Wednesday and threw well, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Bradford has a bruised right index finger, but it's an injury that was thought to be far worse when he left Sunday's game in the fourth quarter.
"He's kind of over the hump and he looks like he'll be OK," head coach Steve Spagnuolo said of Bradford. "It would be the understatement of the year to say it was relief."
Bradford said he expects to play in week two.
Fantasy Analysis:
The Giants certainly provide a beatable matchup. Rex Grossman threw for more than 300 yards and a couple scores against them last week. I don't think Bradford will be quite as productive, but I think he's a nice QB2 this week. Against that patched-together Giants secondary and with Jackson likely out, Bradford and the Rams will probably throw more than usual -- which is a lot as is. With Amendola gone for a while with a dislocated elbow, Brandon Gibson is a sneaky play this week.
