Seahawks WR Sidney Rice doubtful for week 1
The Seattle Seahawks will likely be without wide receiver Sidney Rice
for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Pete Carroll hasn't officially ruled Rice out, but he is listed as doubtful on the injury report because of a shoulder injury that has kept him from practicing for the past two weeks. Carroll suggested that Rice could play next week.
"He feels way better," Carroll said of Rice. "He's able to do a lot of things, and he can run full speed. We just have to wait and see how it responds before we really get after it."
Fantasy Analysis:
I didn't think Rice was a great fantasy start anyway, because Tarvaris Jackson
is simply awful. So at least this news makes benching him easy. If are looking for a replacement from the inside, this should mean more targets for Mike Williams
while Ben Obomanu
steps into the starting lineup. But do you trust Jackson to get them the ball?
