Buccaneers RB LeGarrette Blount to share carries

It's one thing to hear that Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back LeGarrette Blount @LG_Blount won't be a big factor on third downs this season. That's understandable; he's not that kind of player at the moment. It's a completely different thing if the team plans on making him a cog in a running back committee. That seems to be the plan based to what Bucs general manager Mark Dominik said Wednesday.
"I think you'll see a little bit more of a committee approach with LeGarrette being obviously the main back for our football team," Dominik said on ProFootballTalk Live. "But I think you're going to see on this team Kregg Lumpkin, you're going to see obviously Earnest Graham @EarnestGraham also. ... I think you're going to see three of them separating the catches with LeGarrette getting a majority of the reps."

Fantasy Analysis:

I'm pretty sure Dominik meant to say carries when he said catches. From these words, it sounds like Blount might fall into the dreaded RBBC trap. Let's see how it plays out this Sunday versus the Lions, but I don't know if Blount will get more than 15 touches in that game. I hope I'm wrong, because he is clearly the Bucs' best runner. And if you are still waiting to draft, definitely knock Blount a few spots down on your cheat sheets. This isn't a guarantee that a three-headed running attack will burst forth in Tampa. But it is something to think about when choosing Blount.
