Former Vikings QB Daunte Culpepper announces retirement
Daunte Culpepper announced his retirement from the NFL via a letter sent to the NFL and posted online by ProFootballTalk.com. The nine-year veteran, who never regained his Pro Bowl following a serious knee surgery in 2005, had been trying to latch on with a team this off-season, but Culpepper may have hindered his chances by acting as his own agent.
Of course, in this Brett Favre world, do not be shocked if a team comes calling if they lose a QB or two during the season, but Culpepper's days as a fantasy viable option are long gone.
