Patriots RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis has limited job security

The New England Patriots drafted two running backs in April, Shane Vereen @ShaneVereen34 and Stevan Ridley @StevanRidley. At the time, it was thought that those two backs, along with RB Danny Woodhead @danny__woodhead would eventually take over for BenJarvus Green-Ellis @TheLawFirmBJGE or at least minimize his fantasy impact. Green-Ellis scored 13 touchdowns last year, making him a solid fixture in lineups. The Boston Herald is reporting that while Pats offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien was quoted as saying he is "not looking to replace" BJGE, with so many backs in play, BJGE is unlikely to take a big step forward into the top 15 RBs in fantasy football.

Fantasy Analysis:

"The Law Firm" is a great fit as a flex in non-PPR leagues. For fantasy owners looking for him to eclipse 1,000 yards might be disappointed. First of all, Woodhead will see a lo tof work on third down. Since Bill Belichick pushed the team to draft Stevan Ridley, it's presumed he wants him to eventually take over goal-line work. If BJGE isn't scoring touchdowns, his fantasy value takes a steep drop.
