Browns place RB Brandon Jackson on injured reserve

Turf toe usually isn't a season-ending injury. But in running back Brandon Jackson @bjackson32's case, that's exactly what has happened in 2011. The Cleveland Browns placed Jackson on injured reserve Saturday, ending his season before it basically begins. Jackson injured the toe in the Browns' second preseason game and has been in a cast for the past couple of weeks. The team hasn't said much about the ailment, but it's apparently bad enough to keep Jackson out of action long enough for the team to consider putting him on IR. And it did.
The Browns will now head into the campaign with Montario Hardesty @MoHard20 as Peyton Hillis @thepeytonhillis' top backup, but he has injury concerns on his own after tearing an ACL during the 2010 preseason.

Fantasy Analysis:

And Hillis isn't impervious to injury either. He has been bothered by hamstring pain in camp and struggled through cracked ribs late last year. I'm not a fan of any Cleveland Brown in fantasy this year. I'm certainly not going after Hillis at his during ADP, which has him coming off the board in the late-second, early third round. Hardesty is an interesting late-round pick.
