Jets RB Joe McKnight to get some work during regular season

There might come a time this season when New York Jets running backs Shonn Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson are hurt and/or in need of an in-game rest. The team will have no fear in turning to Joe McKnight @OfficialJoeJet.
"I think, as far as a role, good things happen when you put the ball in his hands," head coach Rex Ryan said of McKnight. "He's one of the fastest athletes in the league. He is an explosive athlete, so you want to get him some touches."

Fantasy Analysis:

McKnight probably won't get enough work to be starter-worthy in the majority of leagues unless both Tomlinson and Greene are hurt. However, it looks like Tomlinson's carry load could be in jeopardy if he can't come out of the gate in 2011 much like he did in 2010. McKnight could assume a healthy number of his touches. Greene should be unaffected.
