Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin ready to go
It's been a long summer of worries and unknowns for Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin
. But he has overcome his long-term illness, regained his strength and says he's ready to play week one against the St. Louis Rams. He just needs to get the rust off.
"I feel all right conditioning-wise," Maclin told reporters Sunday. "It's just getting back out there and running routes, I haven't done that in a while, so there's definitely some work I need to do, but I think I'll get back to my normal self pretty soon."
Fantasy Analysis:
Obviously great news for the Eagles passing game. Maclin isn't as much of a game-breaker as teammate DeSean Jackson, but he did catch 23 more passes than Jackson last year. Both guys aren't very consistent producers, but the numbers are there in the end. As long as you realize that Maclin may get off to a slow start this season because of his extended absence, he's a fine WR2.
