Browns RB Brandon Jackson has turf toe
With Montario Hardesty
on the sidelines, Brandon Jackson
had a chance to basically cement his spot as the Cleveland Browns' top backup running back with a strong performance against the Lions on Friday night. He spit the bit on that one with just 19 rushing yards on eight carries and a five-yard reception. And now he's hurt.
Jackson's biggest gain of the night was the case of turf toe he gained during the game. He spent the weekend getting his his foot examined.
Fantasy Analysis:
Hardesty and Peyton Hillis
both participated in practice Sunday and are expected to play in the Browns' preseason game Thursday. So now the pressure is on Jackson to return as quickly as possible before Hardesty passes him on the depth chart. Hillis remains a very nice RB2 , but I think his handcuff will be worth owning as well.
