Browns RB Peyton Hillis tweaks hamstring

This may be a whole lot of nothing. Or for some of you, this could be the beginning of the Madden Curse working its black magic.
Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis @thepeytonhillis suffered a hamstring injury near the end of practice Wednesday. Head coach Pat Shurmur said Hillis felt his hamstring nag "just a little bit" and wouldn't classify it as a true injury just yet.
"This is the time of year when you start to get some soft-tissue injuries," Shurmur said.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's currently unknown if Hillis will play in the Browns' preseason game Friday versus the Lions. But Shurmur did say the starters will play close to a half. One of the candidates to backup Hillis this season, Montario Hardesty @MoHard20, may also miss the game as he continues to recovery from 2010 knee surgery. So, Brandon Jackson @bjackson32 could really create a lot of distance between himself and Hardesty with a good performance against Detroit.
Hillis should be fine in time, but I am a tad concerned about his ability to hold up for another 16 games. He really started to wear down in the final month of 2010 and maybe those 331 touches were just a bit too much for him after playing in two previous seasons with fewer than 90 touches. Does the effect of that workload carry over to this year? Ehhh ... too soon to tell, but it's something to take into account. Hillis is still a rock-solid RB2.
