Patriots WR Wes Welker says he is faster and feels great

Now well over a year removed from his ACL tear injury and subsequent surgery, New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker @WesWelker says he's feeling great and looking forward to the upcoming season. "I feel great," Welker said. "I feel like I've gained a step from two years ago. This is the best I've felt in a long time, and I just want to continue to play well and continue to get better and do the things that help the team win."

Fantasy Analysis:

Fantasy owners had a tough decision when selecting Welker in last year's fantasy drafts, but were rewarded with a very solid 86 receptions, 848 yards and seven scores. Welker is 30 years old so there should still be something left in the tank. If he can play a full season, another big year shouldn't be a problem. From 2007 to 2009, only he and Brandon Marshall had three consecutive seasons with 100-plus receptions. He even caught 123 balls in 2009, despite missing two games.
