Buffalo WR Donald Jones starts preseason game

With Lee Evans now in Baltimore, the Buffalo Bills have an open competition for a starting spot. Wide receiver Donald Jones @Dajones19, a second-year player from Youngstown State. Jones was an undrafted free agent who had 18 receptions for 213 yards and one touchdown in very limited action last year. The Bills also have David Nelson @DavidNelson86 lining up in the slot and Roscoe Parrish @scoe11 is currently out with an injury. Other notable names include free agent acquisitions Buster David and Brad Smith @RealBradSmith as well as second-year player Marcus Easley.

Fantasy Analysis:

It's a bit of a toss-up at this point who will emerge but for the time being, the Bills must like Jones. Steve Johnson has a firm grip on the No. 1 spot. One could assume that the Bills wanted to give their younger receivers at shot on the field and that's why they were comfortable trading away Evans. Fantasy owners should view whoever ends up the starter as a bench player only in deep leagues. Buffalo's offense isn't exactly a juggernaut.
