Raiders think WR Jacoby Ford will be ready for season opener
That headline seems upbeat, but it's actually a little less optimistic than previous words about Jacoby Ford
's availability. When news about Ford's broken hand first ... broke over the weekend, Raiders head coach Hue Jackson said Ford will be out for two weeks. But as he's been asked about it more and more, Jackson's timetable became more conservative. Now he's saying Ford will be ready for the Raiders' week-one game versus the Denver Broncos.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Ford said he's already feeling much better and had his hard cast removed Tuesday.
Fantasy Analysis:
Ford being 100 percent in time for the regular season is all that matters, I guess. But it sounds like he will be out for the entire preseason, which will affect him in September. He still has the most upside of any Raiders WR, but I'm probably waiting a little longer on him in drafts now than I was just a few days ago.
