The Falcons may not have spoken to Schottenheimer yet, but they should after all the downers the franchise has dealt with this year. The no-nonsense Schottenheimer would fill two of the major desires of Falcons' owner Arthur Blank: a disciplined approach and a big name hire. Schottenheimer has had more than his share of post-season disappointments, but he is one of the top coaches overall. If not him, who knows where they turn.
