Browns very high on WR Greg Little
Tight end Benjamin Watson and running back Peyton Hillis were one-two on the Cleveland Browns in receptions last season. The team's most productive wide receiver was Mohamed Massaquoi
, who led the position with just 483 receiving yards. So it's not hard to imagine that the Browns' best wideout in 2011 may have not even played a down of NFL football yet. Head coach Pat Shurmur indicated that could be the case with second-round pick Greg Little
from North Carolina. Over the weekend, Shurmur said he sees enough in Little to project him as the team's possible No. 1 receiver.
"He has a lot of the attributes you look for in a receiver," Shurmur told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "He can beat bump and run. He's extremely good about catching the football. He'll fight for the ball. He finds a way to separate. He's got size. And he finds a way to get in the end zone. That's something very critical for a receiver."
Fantasy Analysis:
Little didn't play college football last year -- he was suspended for the season because after receiving benefits from an agent. This former running back has a very big, strong frame at 6-foot-2, 231 pounds. He led all wideouts with 27 reps on the bench press at the combine. He has dependable hands and is an elite leaper. He's not a guy who is going to repeatedly burn DBs, but he's tough and has no problem with going over the middle. He's probably the Browns' most dynamic WR already, so his relationship with quarterback Colt McCoy
will be something to watch this summer. It's early, but his fantasy draft stock is certainly rising.
