On Tuesday, former Denver Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels agreed to become the St. Louis Rams' offensive coordinator. "I've always recognized that he is one of the top offensive minds in the NFL," Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo said of McDaniels. "We think he is a great addition to our organization." McDaniels, only 34, will be charged with helping quarterback Sam Bradford reach his full potential. McDaniels' past with quarterbacks should have Bradford very optimistic about his own future. McDaniels was the offensive coordinator in New England from 2006 to 2008. He ran the dominating offense that brought the undefeated Patriots to Super Bowl XLII. The next season, he helped Matt Cassel transform from an unknown backup to a very valuable free agent. And before being fired in Denver, Kyle Orton was on the way to the best season of his career and was even involved in some early MVP discussions.

Fantasy Analysis:

Right now, McDaniels is not a head coach. But he knows NFL offenses, especially quarterbacks. Bradford's not going to produce like '07 Brady next season; the offense should still run, so to speak, through Steven Jackson and the organization needs to upgrade its receiving corps through the draft. But given what McDaniels has done with his previous subjects, this is an indication that Bradford will be a very valuable fantasy commodity sooner rather than later.
