Patriots' Danny Woodhead, Aaron Hernandez on track to play Sunday

Once again, the New York Jets will have their hands full with a Patriots offense operating at full strength this weekend. There was some concern that wouldn't be the case after tight end Aaron Hernandez @AaronHernandez missed the final two games of the season because of a hip injury and running back Danny Woodhead @danny__woodhead suffered a concussion in week 17. But Woodhead has apparently been cleared as he was a full participant in Tuesday's practice along with Hernandez. Hernandez caught a touchdown during the Pats' blowout win over the Jets about a month ago and has accumulated nine catches for 152 yards in their past two meetings. Woodhead was New England's leading receiver during said blowout, catching four passes for 104 yards.

Fantasy Analysis:

Rob Gronkowski has been a major target in the passing game, especially in the red zone, without Hernandez. He scored three touchdowns in the two games he missed. Next season, Gronkowski will most likely continue to pick up short TDs, but Hernandez is the more valuable fantasy commodity. He's much more athletic and if he can get a decent amount of goal-line looks, Hernandez can be an easy top-10 TE. Woodhead signed a contract extension with the Pats through 2012 in November, and he's kind of a wild card. He is a great multi-purpose back, but his production has been inconsistent and generally low. Since week three, when he started becoming a part of the Patriots' offense, here are his fantasy totals: 10, 10, 11, 5, 5, 8, 3, 14, 4, 11, 8, 6, 18, 1. Woodhead is a risky week-to-week flex play unless he gets more touches per game next season.
