University of Illinois linebacker Martez Wilson has decided to forgo his final season of college eligibility and has declared for the 2011 NFL Draft. When speaking to ESPNChicago.com, Wilson said,"I know I can get better but I'm ready to make this move.I can play inside or outside. I will be a versatile NFL player. College has been a great experience and I've matured greatly. I appreciate what I have now and I've been making good decisions." Wilson is a fast, explosive defender who has received a ton of hype in his amateur career. He was a first-team All-Big Ten player and will graduate in May. Illinois could also lose two other underclassmen, running back Mikel Leshoure and defensive tackle Corey Liuget to the draft.

Fantasy Analysis:

Wilson likely made a good decision. There are plenty of pass rushing linebackers in this class, but it's lacking in pure OLBs and ILBs. Wilson can play either spot and if a team is looking at ILB, he's definitely a top 3 prospect at that position. Wilson finished this year with 111 total tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception. He finds a way to make plays all over the field. In my 2011 NFL Mock Draft, Wilson is projected to be selected by the St. Louis Rams in the second round, the 47th overall pick. His teammate, Leshoure, is expected to declare for the draft while there are no reports indicating what Liuget might do at this time.
