Titans' Young will be cut or traded

Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams announced on Wednesday that quarterback Vince Young @VinceYoung will be traded or released. Adams also said he is still evaluating whether to retain head coach Jeff Fisher. "We have two critical decisions to make, the direction of the coaching staff and the future at the quarterback position," Adams said in a statement released by the team. "They are separate issues to me and will be dealt with separately." Young has had a laundry list of issues since being drafted as the third pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. In 2008, he lost his starting job as Tennessee went 13-3 with Kerry Collins. This season, Young had a disagreement with Fisher about returning into a game after suffering an injury. Young threw his equipment into the stands and had an altercation with Fisher in the locker room after the game.

Fantasy Analysis:

There are simply too many small issues to list here, but Young is immature, impulsive and frankly, he lacks the consistency to win in the NFL. He has a good six weeks in him every season, but every year, something happens. If Young wants to rejuvenate his career, he needs to grab a hold of his passion and emotions and not allow them to dictate his life and NFL career. He is good and has a load of talent. In any case, Young will get the opportunity for a clean slate next season, depending upon where he ends up. Young has proven himself as a good quarterback and now is the time to take the next step and become a great one.
